שִׁחְיָא, שִׁי׳ch. sam(שחי, שיחי arm-pit), 1) bending, bowing the head. Bets.24a כל … ומטי לה בחד ש׳ (Ar. שהיא) when one running after an animal gets it with one bend (the space being too small to allow an escape). Gitt.70b (ref. to Mish. ib.
